Publications includes: Financial Times, AD Spain, Elle Decor USA, Elle Italy, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue Spain, Vanity Fair, Hola Living Magazine, Manera Magazine, El Pais Semanal. She has been exhibiting in Milan Design Week, Paris Design Week, Harrods London, Switzerland, Madrid, Barcelona and Ibiza.

Describe what you make:

ladio

My focus goes into the creation of unique ceramic pieces and collaborations with interior designers.

Describe the typical process of making your ceramic art?

ladio

The first step is on paper, where ideas come together with more technical aspects such as materials and sizes. Once I define a shape, I move on to the clay and start wedging. It’s a great feeling because while you wedge you can pass the design information to the material. The next step is the wheel together with hand building techniques. After this, it’s drying time which normally takes a few weeks. This step is followed by bisque firing, glazing and lastly, firing.   Surrendering to the process is key in ceramics.

A city or place that consistently fuels your creativity and why it resonates with you:

ladio

Ibiza, the place I was born and have spent most of my life. Nature, the sea or the forest is where I enjoy the most; the sense of freedom it offers is a real gift.
