The most important thing you’ve designed to date:

Studio skey

We successfully completed a double-fronted, 6,500 sq ft villa in East London from appointment to handover in just seven months—a remarkable achievement that was both a rewarding challenge and a testament to our dedication to design excellence. This distinctive project, which we take immense pride in, was honored with an SBID award for Residential House over £1m.

What is your favourite way to add ‘wow’ to an interior?

Studio.skey

We love adding 'wow' to an interior through the careful consideration of interior architecture and beautifully crafted, thoughtful joinery. By addressing the structural bones of a property and the configuration of spaces first, we like to create internal points of interest that enhance the layout, through natural light and flow which really changes how you experience and feel in a space. Beautiful furniture, artwork, and lighting can only go so far without a thoughtfully considered backdrop. We also love incorporating striking natural stones, beautiful vintage or unique light fixtures, and one-of-a-kind furniture pieces to create memorable moments within an interior.

If you could design an interior for any famous person, who would it be and what would your vision for their space look like?

Studio.skey

Instead of famous, the dream client would offer a generous budget, a unique location, and complete trust in our process, where we would be free to design with no limitations. Our vision for the space is a striking balance of minimalist architecture and unexpected details—clean lines, pared-back sculptural forms, and a carefully curated mix of vintage and bespoke furniture, art, and natural materials like stone, wood, linen, and leather, each showcasing its inherent beauty. The result? A serene, timeless space with moments of surprise—perhaps a bold statement light or a collection of meaningful objects—creating a truly unique, considered environment that reflects the client’s eclectic style.

Are you embracing any particular trends at the moment?

Studio.skey

We intentionally steer clear of fleeting interior trends, staying true to our timeless design ethos. Lately, we’ve been drawn to richer autumnal and espresso tones, buttery textures, and fabrics that exude warmth and depth. Our focus embraces artisan craftsmanship, handmade elements, and the thoughtful revival of both existing and newly sourced vintage pieces through reupholstery and refinishing—revive, renew, re-love.

What do you do when you’re not working?

Studio.skey

Sophie: In my spare time, I love catching up with friends and family, attending Pilates classes, and exploring our East London neighborhood—weekends are often spent hopping between local pubs, coffee shops, delis, and independent stores. But when winter sets in, you’ll likely find me curled up at home, binging the latest Netflix espionage thriller or a gripping documentary.

Georgina: Weekends are often filled with small DIY projects around our home, which we moved into earlier this year—a creative outlet while planning for bigger renovations. When not working on the house, we love discovering local pubs, restaurants, and vintage shops, taking in scenic walks in our new neighborhood, or enjoying time at the playground with my two-year-old niece.

Sophie: A beautifully handmade candle from Oneironaut, a local Shoreditch maker, and a Staub cast iron pan for my kitchen.

Georgina: A charming pair of vintage Scandinavian tin candle sconces to hang over the fireplace, adding an extra layer of winter coziness.

Designer hero:

Sophie: Charlotte Perriand and Rose Uniacke are two female pioneers who have to be up there for me.

Georgina: There’s too many female design heroes to list! Eileen Gray, Ray Eames, Charlotte Perriand and more recently -  Ilse Crawford, Rose Uniacke, Nathalie Deboel, Danielle Siggerud.

Favourite hotel in the world:

Studio.skey

Sophie: For the ultimate barefoot getaway I love Cempedak Island, Indonesia, which is a secluded island resort which beautifully champions sustainability and charitable initiatives. For a city break, Château Voltaire is perfect for a quintessential Parisian trip. The design has been so well executed and the location is ideal.

Georgina: I’m always drawn to the hotels in the Relais & Chateaux group -  their unique old buildings with sensitive modernisation and refined design. I recently went to Mas de Torrent in Costa Brava which convinced me that we need to add an old Spanish Masia to our list of dream projects! Next on my list to visit is Falsled Kro in Denmark.
